ACRES are pleased to support OPERATION SHOEBOX www.operationshoebox.co.uk an organisation which facilitates the distribution of useful and needed items to our armed forces personnel serving in Afghanistan and Iraq.
ACRES have decided to help with the Christmas push and provide convenient dropping off points at each of their 6 offices and advertisements for the extensive list of required items.
Commenting on the initiative Sharron Smith manager of ACRES WYLDE GREEN said 'I heard about Operation Shoebox from Sam Gilligan our Financial Services Adviser and after looking at the website thought it was a wonderful idea, The list of items ranges from boxer shorts to jammy dodgers and wet wipes to hair scrunches. None of them are expensive and a shoebox is not that big, however, all of them are needed by the troops'
She continued 'We would ask everyone to be generous to our brave men and women and drop off their shoebox at their local ACRES office. We will get them to the collection points and they will be with the troops by Christmas'
